We went for the gelato this time. Marcolini only serves just a few flavours, made fresh in the turbine continuously. The texture is quite soft to approach the ideal temperature for gelato instantly. However , on a warm day that means you do need to rush as it melts quickly. Taste wise it was perfection, and the beautiful Marcolini waffle & chocolate on top really turn this into an exquisite experience.

The store has a fantastic and wide selection of single-origin chocolates, including the relatively rare São Tomé beans, as well as the classic pralines and macarons. I also had the chance to taste their cooking chocolate drops, including some blends made from different single-origin chocolates, each with very interesting and distinctive tasting profiles. The Italian gentleman, whose name I unfortunately forgot (sorry!), was extremely knowledgeable, patient, and helpful in guiding me through the different flavours and products. I even had the pleasure of meeting the master himself, Mr. Marcolini, who happened to be briefly in the store.

Attention, ça reste bon hein on est quand même sur du bon chocolat, mais pas aussi bon qu'avant et ca pose problème. Toutefois j'accepte et mon cœur reste ouvert à une nouvelle dégustation future, il est possible que je sois tomber sur un mauvais arrivage donc je modifierai ce commentaire si nécessaire. En résumé, allez-y ! Vous trouverez d'office votre bonheur et les marcolini sont une référence en Belgique, attention c'est très cher (180€ le kilo contre 80 pour nehaus par exemple) mais il faut y faire un tour. Aussi dédicace au macaron ils sont tops et ça j'ai jamais été déçu !
